Parmar Rushabh Rajendrakumar, a student on the BEng Honours Polymer Engineering course at Edinburgh Napier University, briefly returned to India to receive his Diploma in Polymer Engineering and Gold Medal from Nirma University on 10th November 2011. The gold medal, shown below, is awarded to the student with the best overall academic performance and also for outstanding co-curricular activities. His academic performance was 80% i.e. first class with distinction. The co-curricular activities included participation in numerous competitions at various levels. His achievements include: wining the technical quiz competition at “TECH-FEST” (a State level event); three times winner of cricket tournament; and a member of the winning group in a singing competition; as well as twice runners-up in a football tournament.

Clearly multi-talented, he has regularly been a volunteer in many student orientation programmes.
