Polymer Study Tours, Residential Course for Teachers
The Polymer Study Tour is a 4-day residential course for schoolteachers of science, design and technology, designed to increase their understanding of the science, engineering and design associated with plastics, rubber and related materials and to increase awareness of careers in the polymer industry. The course consists of a series of lectures from polymer specialists, supported by hands-on experience of materials, processing and properties in the polymer workshop, visits to local companies and discussions with polymer experts and fellow teachers. The Polymer Study Tour is organised by the Worshipful Company of Horners and sponsored by companies and organisations (including SPRA). The Polymer Study Tour in Scotland is held at Edinburgh Napier University in June each year
