The University provides world leading research in micro- and nanotechnology with applications to the electronics, optics, health and polymer industry. The School of Engineering runs the state-of-the art nanofabrication clean room and injection moulding facility for prototyping and proof-of-concept projects.
Through a Knowledge Transfer Account (KTA), the University supports the commercialisation of technologies by providing funding to address barriers and help build new mutually beneficial partnerships. The KTA also funds collaborations between industry and academia to support Feasibility and Proof of Concept projects.
